East Riding Education and Skills Partnership

Careers coordinators network

The aim of this network is to ensure staff are fully up to date with the national policy and local strategies, and to enhance local knowledge and experience of opportunities for young people.

The network aims to meet the needs of staff working across a wide range of roles including senior leaders, careers teachers, and careers coordinators and supporting staff. It provides opportunities for sharing good practice across a wide range of practitioners and education and training organisations.

Reviews from delegates following each meeting indicate the events are meeting expectations and providing valuable opportunities for networking. Topics covered during 2015/16 included the Humber LEP Gold Standard, Local FE Provision, Supporting young people to secure Apprenticeships (all levels) and developing an Effective CEIAG Programme.

Partners are invited to host the network meeting and use the opportunity to showcase their facilities and provision, thus enhancing members' local knowledge and experience of opportunities available for our young people.

Each termly event is facilitated by the ESP Team, East Riding Youth and Family Support and the Humber EBP, and has a relevant theme determined by the ESP Operational Group, details of which will be circulated in advance.

All partners that subscribe to the ESP CPD membership can send up to two delegates to each termly network meeting. Other partners are still able to access the CPD offered on a 'pay as you go' basis, chargeable as follows:

  • £80 per place for each half-day CPD Network event during the 2016/17 Academic Year (includes lunch)

  • £70 per place for each half day Careers Co-ordinators' Network event for the 2016/17 Academic Year (excludes lunch)
