Connexions Personal Advisers (PA)
The Role of the Connexions PA.
Connexions Personal Advisers play a key role in helping all young people from the age of 13 to progress through school
and into further learning, training or work.
There are two types of PA.
Generic PAs are able to help overcome barriers to learning such as funding, personal, health
or home issues.
Careers PAs are able to advise and guide young people as they are making choices about the next steps in their learning.
Every secondary school in the East Riding has at least one PA working within it and every young person from the age of 13
has an entitlement to discuss their future with a PA who will guarantee impartiality and confidentiality.
