Underpinning Systems

Quality Assurance (QA) Framework

With the advent of diplomas, young people will be moving between providers for the various components of their programme of study, sometimes perhaps across Local Authority borders.

With this in mind, a QA Partnership between Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire has drawn up guidelines for the Quality Assurance of collaborative provision.

These include detailed guidance on the health and safety and safeguarding of learners whilst off-site, and common documentation for data-sharing between providers.

There is a good practice framework which can be incorporated into the contract between providers, or signed up to in an agreement or protocol.

Suggestions are made for the monitoring and evaluation of teaching and learning off-site.

It anticipated that Local Area Partnerships and Diploma consortia will draw up their own detailed arrangements in line with the guidance.
