Introduction to Family Learning
Family Learning courses provide opportunities for parents and children to enjoy learning
together and promoting the idea that learning is a life-long activity for all.
Courses are delivered at times and venues to suit families e.g. immediately after school, Saturday mornings or early evening.
Parents say that after attending sessions they feel far more confident in getting involved in their child's education.
The choice on offer is wide, but usually falls into one of the following groups:
- modern languages;
- healthy eating;
- keep fit;
- arts and crafts;
- music;
- drama;
- ICT;
- literacy and numeracy and how this is taught in school.
All courses are free.
