Approval Form for Day Visits

A recommended form for the notification and approval of standard day visits (that do not involve "high risk activities or environments") can be downloaded here.

Approval Form for Category 1 and 2 ("Low Risk") Day Visits (Word 26KB Opens in a new window)

This form can be completed and submitted either on hard copy or electronically through the email address below.

Headteachers/Managers may wish to amend this form to their own specific needs, but they must ensure that sufficient information is provided and appropriate assurances are given to make reasonable judgements.

Alternatively, many Headteachers/Managers now require staff to record ALL visits (including Category 1 and 2 "low risk" day visits) using ROVER Online, as it is helpful to have all visits recorded in the same way on one single database.

All Category 3 (UK residential), 4 (Overseas) and 'A' (high-risk activities or environments) visits MUST be recorded using ROVER Online - click below to access:

ROVER Online

The ROVER Online User Guide will assist if you have never used the system before.

Each school must clearly state within their own Visits Policy their required procedures for approving all types of visit.

The Visits Policy must be approved by the Governing Body and made known to all staff.
