Information for Group Leaders Arranging Residential Visits

Group leaders are responsible, before booking a visit, for making reasonable checks that any venue/accommodation/activity provider that they intend to use is safe and suitable for the group.

List of Local Educational Venues and Providers of Accommodation and Activities in the North of England (including reviews by previous users)

This list has been specifically compiled to enable East Riding teachers and youth leaders to:

  • search for addresses and information (including reviews and contact details of previous users) about educational visit venues (e.g. museums, visitor attractions), and accommodation (e.g. hotels, hostels, residential centres, and campsites) or service providers (e.g. adventure activity providers) in the North of England;
  • and share relevant feedback (e.g. personal impressions), information (e.g. venue specific risk assessments or photos), and guidance (e.g. recommendations and cautions) regarding venue/accommodation/service providers that have been visited recently, and that other leaders might find valuable.

Please note: The list is not comprehensive and is continually being updated.

The providers listed have in no way been 'approved' as safe and suitable.
