Advice and guidance for the NQT induction process
Welcome to East Riding of Yorkshire Council's local authority section for newly-qualified teachers, induction tutors and all those who support the NQT induction process in schools and colleges.
The East Riding of Yorkshire Council local authority acts as the Appropriate Body (AB) for the induction of newly-qualified teachers (NQTs) and is pleased to be working in partnership with maintained and non-maintained schools within or outside the authority.
Our aim is to provide easily accessible support, advice and guidance and to provide all the necessary documentation which is required to support the NQT induction process in line with the current statutory guidance for NQT induction.
NQTs must be registered with an Appropriate Body before they can start their NQT induction.
Most information about what we offer as an appropriate body, our charges and how to register for the ERYC LA to be your appropriate body can be found in our NQT Induction Handbook (please see latest news for the recent changes to our administration)
