Key Stage 3

Welcome to Key Stage 3 statutory Areas of Understanding.

RE is statutory for ALL pupils at KS3.

What is taught in Year 7 and Year 8 will depend upon the way the RE curriculum leads into the chosen GCSE syllabuses. Christianity should represent at least 50% of the Programme of Study. Remember to consult the statutory key content to identify the teaching within the range of faiths your school has chosen to teach.

Exemplar resources from schools in the Humber region are downloadable below; if you have others, please consider sharing them on our website and get in touch.

We thank the following schools for sharing resources: Archbishop Sentamu Academy Hull, St Lawrence Academy Scunthorpe, South Holderness Technology College, South Hunsley Secondary School and Sixth Form College.
