General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and DBS Checks

From 25 May 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into force, replacing the current Data Protection Act 1998.

To ensure that you are fully informed of the use of your personal data and your rights, the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) has updated its privacy policy.  This new policy will explain how your personal data will be used and outlines your rights under GDPR. The DBS requires all applications for criminal record check to be accompanied by a declaration which can be downloaded, completed and returned to East Riding Supply Service for submission with the application.  The Enhanced DBS Check Privacy Policy is available to view at:-

Once you have read and understood the above Enhanced DBS Check Privacy Policy  then please complete the following and return to East Riding Supply Service.

DBS Check

An enhanced DBS disclosure is required for all supply work. Forms will be provided at interview.

The fee of £44.00 is charged by the Disclosure and Barring Service for the check and is payable by the supply applicant.

You should complete the form and take it with evidence of identity as shown on the guide below (minimum of 3 items, one showing your date of birth and one showing your current address) to your nearest customer service centre.

Please pay the £44.00 fee for the check to the cashier (cost centre 1XH511 19338) and enclose the receipt inside your form.

Staff at the customer service centre will complete Section X on your form and a documentary evidence sheet listing all identity evidence.

They will then send your form directly to the DBS team.

Please note: you must leave your form at a Customer Service Centre once Section X has been completed.

How long will the DBS check take?

The DBS check can take 4 weeks to be processed.
