Pay Frequency Standardisation

As a result of the consultation process with Trade Unions it was been agreed to introduce a standardised monthly pay frequency (i.e last banking day).

Supply Workers being offered and accepting work after 1 August 2016 will be paid one month in arrears (i.e for work completed in August 2016 this will be paid on 30 September 2016, and for work completed in September this will be paid 31 October).

Useful information

  • The Supply Team need at least 2 days to process the payroll. Payroll have to fit our return around several other bulk runs. If schools have not signed off it may result in payment to their supply staff not being made.
  • Please notify us immediately if there are exceptional circumstances which mean that you are unable to sign-off.
  • If you are unable to access the Booking Software System to enable you to sign off hours for your supply staff then please email supply.service@eastriding.gov.uk, stating names, days, hours which need processing and we will be happy to do it for you.         

Please note: Supply teachers who also have permanent contracts will have two lines of pay shown on their payslip.

Payment facilitation of supply staff interviewed within your own establishment/school

It is recognised that other East Riding establishments may from time to time interview their own supply workers to work solely within their remit, but require facilitation of payment through East Riding Supply Service.

Please note: This service is only accessible to schools who have bought into the Supply Service.

Contracted part-time teachers doing extra supply within their home school

East Riding Supply Service are able to facilitate payment for part-time who often offer supply cover to their home school. 

By excluding the teacher to your school and using the Booking Software System you can eliminate the administrative task of completing SAL1Cs and Support Staff Casual Claim Forms.
