DBS Fees

A fee of £44.00 is charged by the Disclosure and Barring Service for the check and is payable by the supply applicant.

Please pay the fee for the check to the cashier (cost centre 1XH511 19338) and enclose the receipt inside your form.

Staff at the customer service centre will complete Section X on your form and a documentary evidence sheet listing all identity evidence.

They will then send your form directly to the DBS team.

Please note: You must leave your form at a Customer Service Centre once Section X has been completed.

For further information on DBS checks please visit:

East Riding's RecruitER website (opens in a new window)

Q How long will the DBS check take?

The DBS check can take 4 weeks to be processed.

Two satisfactory references must be received prior to interview.

Once all information is received a decision is taken to interview and you will receive confirmation of the date.

Q How will I get work?

The name, telephone number and availability details for approved supply staff are added to our database which is made available to East Riding schools via the eTeach website.

The Supply Service will contact you to offer you work suitable to your qualifications and experience or schools may contact you directly to arrange supply work.

We operate a text service, and may contact you this way with placement opportunities.

Q What if my availability changes?

Registered supply staff have access to part of the database that allows availability to be updated, and it is important that this should be amended whenever necessary.

i  Annual renewal

The entire supply list is renewed annually each summer and updated for September.

You will receive an annual registration form, which must be returned or you will automatically be deleted from the supply list.
