Working Together to Safeguard Children
Welcome to Child Protection in the East Riding
The purpose of this section is to provide guidance, advice and resources for schools, particularly Child Protection Coordinators (CPCs) to
assist them in the following areas:
Providing a safe learning environment for children and young people.
- providing a safe learning environment for children and young people;
- and identifying where there are child welfare concerns and take action to address them in partnership with other organisations as and when
appropriate (Working Together to Safeguard Children 2006)
It is intended that this area will provide a 'One-Stop Shop' that provides:
- templates and guidance for policies and procedures;
- blank referrals and recording forms;
- specific guidance for Child Protection Coordinators on issues such as 'Making a Child Protection Referral';
- links to related national and East Riding Guidance publications and resources including the East Riding Safeguarding Children Board;
- relevant training and available support information;
- teaching and learning resources and information and links;
- child protection co-ordinators' newsletter;
- and contact details.
