They house collections of language teaching materials and other, predominantly IT, resources. Jan Amos Comenius (1592-1671) is considered to be the founder of modern language learning theory.

The BBC languages site offers a range of free multi-media activities online. Units can be studied on a single PC or used in a multi-media language laboratory for class activities. Though intended primarily for adults, units would integrate well into KS4 schemes of work, and make a refreshing change.
