2010: Finland

The architecture of Helsinki is stunning.

The team visited schools in the centre of Helsinki, which included two kindergartens, two comprehensive schools, ages 7 - 12 years, two Art Schools and the Teacher Training Department at the University.

Although delegates did not see many examples of cross-curricular, creative teaching, they found the trip highly beneficial in encouraging them to enter into dialogue and reflect on their own practice in school.

The experience also created unexpected links between schools within our local area.
