Information:
Primary NQTs will consider pedagogy, resources and issues around the embedding of ICT into learning and teaching in history. Some available software and internet resources will be explored. The use of the interactive whiteboard and display technology as tools for learning and teaching in history will be considered as will the use of the ICT suite as well as other peripherals, such as cameras and scanners etc.
Participants will consider ways to make effective cross-curricular links in history and creativity in learning and teaching.
Current national and local initiatives to embed ICT across the curriculum will be shared.

 

Objectives: To further develop participants understanding of how to:
  • Use interactive teaching methods that make pupils think and foster their interest and enthusiasm to learn.
  • Make appropriate choices of ICT software, resources and activities.
  • Exploit opportunities for pupils to apply and develop their ICT and literacy skills.
