Information:
This course will contribute towards the Continual Professional
Development (DfES CPD) criteria for accreditation in the HEALTHY
SCHOOL AWARDS.
All primary schools have a responsibility to deliver PSHCE across
Foundation, KS1 and KS2. The East Riding's Primary PSHCE Curriculum
has been adopted by a great number of primary schools across the
East Riding and it has been highly praised by OFSTED. This course
will enable delegates to become familiar with the curriculum and
offers help, guidance and methodology to increase personal skills
in the teaching of PSHCE. The course will cover your school's obligations
to the DfES Framework for PSHCE including Citizenship, drug education
and SRE.
|
Objectives:
- To increase your knowledge and understanding of the Primary
PSHCE Curriculum and its application in your classroom.
- To increase your teaching skills in the teaching of PSHCE.
- To recognise how the Primary PSHCE Curriculum fulfills your
school's responsibility to the DfES Framework for PSHCE, Local
and National Drug Strategy and SRE.
- To clarify how the curriculum contributes to the Healthy School
Award.
- To identify cross curricular links, particularly with Literacy.
|
Please note that failure to attend a course to which you have applied will result in an administration charge of £10.00 unless a cancellation code is quoted. A similar charge will be made if delegates attend without having made a formal application.
