Information:
This course, at the invitation of Pryme Street Synagogue, is to be run jointly with Hull LEA. It is intended as an introduction to Judaism and does not assume any previous experience of Jewish practice. Participants will be moving in small groups around a series of activities which will exemplify the celebration of Jewish festivals as they are practised at the Orthodox synagogue.

Objectives:
  • To introduce members of the Jewish faith in their place of worship.
  • To learn how they practice their faith, especially in the celebration of Jewish religious festivals.
  • To allow participants to explore artefacts and symbols associated with festivals.
  • To enable teachers to discover ways in which they might support pupils' learning about, and from, the Jewish faith either in the classroom or by making a visit to the synagogue.
Please note that failure to attend a course to which you have applied will result in an administration charge of £10.00 unless a cancellation code is quoted.  A similar charge will be made if delegates attend without having made a formal application.
