Information:
After successfully completing their induction year, many Newly Qualified
Teachers will be asked to undertake leadership responsibility for
a subject or an aspect of teaching and learning. This course will
help currents NQTs to undertake these roles when they enter their
second year of teaching. Advice will also be given about career
development.

Objectives:
By the end of the course participants will:
- Have a clearer understanding of their new role.
- Have a clearer understanding about how to monitor teaching and
learning in their area(s) of subject responsibility.
- Know how to support teacher colleagues effectively.
- Know how to take an audit of provision.
- Know how to write a subject policy.
- Know how to manage resources.
- Be given general advice about their future career development.
