Information:
This course is a repeat, with updates, of the successful cross-unitary course (East Riding of Yorkshire and Hull LEAs) that ran in 2001-2 and 2002-3. It is aimed at those who aspire to be a primary phase deputy headteacher. Teachers who applied to attend on the previously advertised dates (14 and 15 March) will automatically be offered a place and do not need to make a new application.
Through direct teaching, group activity and case study material the course will give teachers an insight into the modern day role of a deputy head and give teachers an insight into the modern day role of a deputy head and give participants extra confidence when making applications.

  • The Management of Change
  • Key Personnel Issues
  • Relationships with governors
  • School Finance
  • Writing letters of application for Deputy Headship
  • The Deputy Headship Interview
Please note that failure to attend a course to which you have applied will result in an administration charge of £10.00 unless a cancellation code is quoted.  A similar charge will be made if delegates attend without having made a formal application.
