Information:
This course will prepare design and technology teachers and technicians
for assessment of competence in relation to woodworking machinery,
namely machine saws and planer thicknessers.
The course will follow the DATA certification scheme and update
delegates on relevant guidance publications eg PUWER and COSHH.

Objectives:
- To update delegates health and safety knowledge and competence
in using wood cutting machines of a type found in school workshops.
- To assess delegates for certification in conjunction with the
DATA health and safety scheme extension levels: S1HS wood sawing
machines and S8HS planer/thicknesser machines.

Please note that failure to attend a course to which you have applied will result in an administration charge of £10.00 unless a cancellation code is quoted. A similar charge will be made if delegates attend without having made a formal application.
