Information: This course is aimed at Senior Managers and SENCOs.
Schools and LEAs are accountable for the use of resources to support pupils with special educational needs. ERYC has piloted a scheme for the supported self-review of SEN, and it is intended that all schools will carry out a regular monitoring process. The essential questions each school will need to be able to answer are:

  • What financial resources are deployed for SEN pupils?
  • How are these resources used by the school?
  • What difference does the deployment of resources make to the attainment and progess of pupils with SEN?

Objectives:
  • To understand the process of supported self-review to be undertaken in monitoring SEN provision in ERYC schools.
  • To consider factors which can be taken into account in demonstrating attainment and progress by pupils with SEN.
  • To map out preparatory action to be taken by all schools in order to undertake supported self-review of SEN provision.
Please note that failure to attend a course to which you have applied will result in an administration charge of £10.00 unless a cancellation code is quoted.  A similar charge will be made if delegates attend without having made a formal application.
