Information:
This course continues the annual 2-day immersion in Art & Design. This event will provide teachers and TAs with valuable techniques, ideas and inspiration for work in schools and for their own professional and personal development. Based at the excellent 20/21 Gallery with its purpose built education room and with access to the current exhibition of landscape inspired paintings by Sheffield based artist Paul Dearden, the course will consider approaches to the recording and interpretation of the urban and rural landscape, using a variety of media including paint, collage and digital photography.
The course will also make QCA units such as 4C 'Journeys', 6C 'A Sense of Place" and Visiting a Gallery or Museum (KS3 Units).

Objectives:
  • To make use of the unique surroundings of the 20/21 Gallery and its current exhibition.
  • To use urban and rural landscape as inspiration for the development of artwork.
  • To experiment with a variety of media to interpret the theme.
  • To trial ideas which can then be used and developed in the classroom.
Please note that failure to attend a course to which you have applied will result in an administration charge of £10.00 unless a cancellation code is quoted.  A similar charge will be made if delegates attend without having made a formal application.
