The K'Nex Challenge |
Primary schools in the East Riding are taking part in a Junior K'Nex Challenge.
The event involves designing, building and testing of structures.
Introduction to the Junior K'Nex Challenge
As an introduction to the Junior K'Nex Challenge teachers spend an informative day at the Humber Bridge.
The itinerary for the day includes:
- An introduction to the event by Humber EBLO
- The structure and running of the bridge by The Humber Bridge Bridgemaster
- Guided tour of the Bridge including offices, control room and external viewing of anchorage, school visit possibilities etc.
- CITB (Construction Industry Training Board) introduction, educational programme & practical activity.
'Links to construction related companies across the region', CITB
- Lunch at the Humber Bridge offices
- K’Nex Challenge and the design and technology curriculum:

- K'Nex Challenge for Real!
Using a past challenge all present will undertake a challenge of their own working in pairs (teachers & presenters)
