Log On Move On is the online Area Prospectus (AP) and Common Application Process (CAP) for the East Riding and Hull.
It has been developed over the last few years in response to a DCSF statutory requirement for its implementation across Local Authorities to ensure the impartiality of course information for learners to enable them to make informed choices.
The East Riding Learning Partnership has been responsible for the development and implementation of Log On Move On in the East Riding, working alongside colleagues from Hull City Council.
A joint Prospectus Board meets regularly to lead the Area Prospectus and Common Application Process developments.
The Area Prospectus (AP) provides young people with information about the qualification pathways they can follow at both 14-16 and 16-19.
The Common Application Process (CAP) connected to the Prospectus enables young people in Year 11 to apply for the post-16 opportunities online, and provides a mechanism for ensuring that every young person has the offer of a suitable education or training place, and gets the right amount of support at the right time.
Learners in East Riding schools are issued with a username and password during Year 10, which enables them to use the CAP system and apply for post-16 opportunities.
All providers are required to update their post-16 opportunities annually in September.
Schools can also upload their 14-16 opportunities onto the AP to support the options process in Year 9.
All schools across the East Riding have signed up to an IAG Learner Charter for 2010-2011 which includes the commitment to use the CAP for all post-16 courses from September 2010.
The Learning Partnership publishes regular updates for all partners using Log On Move On throughout the year which are available to download from these pages .
