Local Area Partnerships
One of the main criteria for the Diploma funding 2009/10 was that it had to be used to develop local capacity in Diploma delivery.
£30,000 was therefore made available by the Local Authority to each Local Area Partnership, and an Executive group in each area, made up of all partners involved, met to decide how this would be allocated.
Each Local Area Partnership was also given £3,000 to support the meetings.
A transparent funding plan was drawn up for each area, and these plans are being constantly reviewed, so that spending can be monitored.
