' I hope that while so many people are out smelling the flowers, someone is taking the time to plant some. ' - Herbert Rappaport
In 2003 Wildspace! asked teachers how they would like to develop educational resources for our Local Nature Reserves by holding two discussion groups.
A resource pack is the end result of the feedback that they gave.
It covers a broad range of activities that can be undertaken by schools either independently at Local Nature Reserves, or accompanied by a Countryside Access Officer.
It also features work that can be carried out in school before and after the Local Nature Reserve visit.
Although it is primarily designed for Key Stage 1 and 2 groups, there is much in here that is suitable for older and younger children, and also
activities that could be undertaken by other groups such as cubs and brownies.
The following documents introduce the Wildspace! project, and give a flavour of the content of the resources.
