The first of several training sessions was held at Cottingham Golf Club on Wednesday 10 July 2002.
The Headteacher from a Beacon School in Solihull lead this training.
She and her staff have developed an effective PSED programme, which is implemented through their primary
school.
The school also operates a programme for Accelerated Learning which includes Brain Gym.
The presentation included:
- Developing a PSED programme in primary schools
- Behaviour from Within (BfW - working with the children to develop skills/knowledge about behaviour management)
- Personal and Social Development models (self-awareness, motivation,empathy and social skills)
- The assessment process including Performance Indicators in Primary Schools (PIPS)
- How parents/carers can support children's social development
