Wharram Percy - Coursework
Wharram Percy is located north of the East Riding village of Fridaythorpe and is one of about 3,000 ancient villages abandoned between the
11th and 18th centuries.
The foundations of more than 30 medieval peasant houses are still visible at the site.
Excavation has revealed evidence of prehistoric occupation and also of a settlement dating back to the Bronze Age, with Roman farms and an
Anglo-Saxon estate coming after.
