' We shall not flag or fail. We shall go on to the end. We shall fight in France,
we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence
and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our island, whatever the cost
may be. ' - Sir Winston Churchill
Anne Frank
There are many excellent websites which support the study of Anne Frank's life and death, and the history of the Holocaust more generally.
Many of these have far more extensive resources than this site, however we have created teaching resources, related to Anne Frank and the Holocaust, for a wide range of subjects in the UK National Curriculum.
We have also created a guide to the best of the other resources on the World Wide Web or otherwise in the public domain.
Please use the schemes of work on this site. If there are things which should be here, but which you can't find, please tell us.
If you have resources which you would like to make available to other students, teachers and educators, please send them to us.
If you think we should have a link to your site or other resources, please let us know.
Cecil Slack and the Great War
On this site you will find a large collection of letters written and received by Cecil Moorhouse Slack, during the Great War of 1914 to 1918.
Cecil's daughter-in-law, Lady Joan Slack, has put this collection into the public domain.
These letters are a valuable source of information about the life of an infantry officer in the East Yorkshire Regiment in the 1914-1918 war, and about his fiancée, and their other friends and relations in Great Britain and Australia.
You will also find activities for teachers and students, following National Curriculum Programmes of Study for Key Stages 2 and 3.
