The 2nd Annual Inclusive Music Festival aimed to challenge prejudice about children with special educational needs and raise self-esteem through
celebrating and showcasing the abilities of all children educated in the East Riding of Yorkshire.
It also aimed to encourage different schools and pupils to work together collaboratively on a shared arts project.

Special and mainstream schools involved in the 10 week project worked with peripatetic musicians and advanced skills teachers in preparation
for a samba performance in front of parents and carers at Longcroft School on 12th July 2006.
The children wore carnival masks that they designed and created especially for the event.
