Information:
This course will provide an introduction to Buddhism for all Primary teachers. It will be run by teachers and community members of the Madhyamaka Buddhist Centre at Kilnwick Percy, near Pocklington.

By the end of the session teachers will:

  • Have had explained the basic principles of Buddhism
  • Become aware of the role of the Madhyamaka Centre in the community and learnt how the Centre can aid teachers with their teaching of the RE syllabus
  • Had an opportunity to observe and/or experience meditative practice.

Objectives:

  • To provide teachers with basic information on Buddhist teachings and practice.
Please note that failure to attend a course to which you have applied will result in an admin. charge of £10.00 unless a cancellation code is quoted.
A similar charge will be made if delegates attend without having made a formal application.
