Information:
Mary Stone, well known in the East Riding for her 'Circle Time' trainings, returns to lead a course on spiritual development across the school.

It is suitable for all of those attempting to get to grips with the intangible: developing that spiritual dimension which can distinguish one school's ethos from another. Mary has been a primary headteacher and advisory teacher for Cumbria LEA. She has trained primary teachers in Kenya and at St Martin's College, Lancaster. She is the author of Developing Children's Spiritual Awareness and Don't Just Do Something, Sit There amongst other resources.

Objectives:
To consider:

  • What we mean by spiritual development
  • Where it occurs in the curriculum and in collective worship
  • What methods promote it
  • How to develop some of these methods in school
Please note that failure to attend a course to which you have applied will result in an admin. charge of £10.00 unless a cancellation code is quoted.
