Information:
This training and its associated practice will contribute towards the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) criteria for accreditation in the HEALTHY SCHOOL AWARD. This course is intended to enhance the awareness, confidence and skills of secondary teachers who are coordinating or delivering SRE within the PSHCE framework. We shall be referring to and using sections of the recently disseminated SRE resource pack. The day will be active and participatory and will model appropriate teaching and learning strategies.
Objectives:
  • To explore the delivery of SRE through the PSHCE framework using the recently disseminated SRE resource pack
  • To develop expertise in using a range of teaching and learning strategies for Sex and Relationship Education
  • To clarify legislation and the law with respect to Sex and Relationship Education in secondary schools and to examine a framework for a policy
  • To increase confidence in dealing with sensitive issues including confidentiality.
Please note that failure to attend a course to which you have applied will result in an admin. charge of £10.00 unless a cancellation code is quoted.
A similar charge will be made if delegates attend without having made a formal application.
