Information:
The main purpose of this day is to bring together all of the available
materials and the latest ideas on how to help year 9 pupils with their
science SATs exams. Over the past few months, many useful materials
have become available. The course is free and all schools (both phase
1 and phase 2) still have a least 1 day supply cover available from
this year's KS3 science strategy allocation. |
Objectives:
- To examine new intervention materials such as the "Ten
minute activities", "Assessing progress in science"
and "Question analysis with pupils".
- To review the use of materials such as "Testbase",
"QCA SAT reports" and "Science booster lessons".
- To examine strategies such as the analysis of test papers, pupil
entry policy, identifying borderline pupils and revision techniques.
