Information:
Schools and LEAs are accountable for the use of resources to support
pupils with special educational needs. ERYC has piloted a scheme
for the supported self-review of SEN, and it is intended that all
schools will, over a four year period, undergo this monitoring review.
The essential questions each school will need to be able to answer
are:
- What financial resources are deployed for SEN pupils
- How are these resources used by each school?
- What difference does the deployment of resources make to the
attainment and progress of pupils with SEN?
|
Objectives:
- To understand the process of supported self-review to be undertaken
in monitoring SEN provision in ERYC schools.
- To consider factors which can be taken into account in demonstrating
attainment and progress by pupils with SEN
- To map out preparatory action to be taken by all schools in
order to undertake supported self-review of SEN provision.
