Information:
This course is aimed at teachers who wish to find out more about dyslexia and use ICT to support pupils with literacy difficulties including dyslexia. Opportunities will be provided to:

  • Work interactively with SEN software (talking first word, text help, wordshark and inspiration).
  • Look at hardware resources (Alpha smart, hand held spell checkers)
  • Reflect upon the role of ICT with pupils who have literacy difficulties.
  • Visit web-based sources of help.
Objectives:
  • To gain an understanding of dyslexia and how ICT can assist in the remediation of literacy difficulties
  • To familiarise teachers with current appropriate hardware and software.
  • To build confidence in the use of ICT.
Please note that failure to attend a course to which you have applied will result in an admin. charge of £10.00 unless a cancellation code is quoted.
A similar charge will be made if delegates attend without having made a formal application.
