' There are three types of people in this world: Those who can count, and those who can't. ' - Seen on a bumper sticker
Below are some teaching and learning resources used in East Riding of Yorkshire schools by maths and numeracy teachers, educators and pupils.
Introduction to the Resources
Much of the work is in response to requests from teachers and students.
The resources available below, Statutory ICT in Maths have been added in response to teacher requests.
The schemes of work and maths levels are for the core Y8 (full year) and for autumn and spring terms for Y9.
The schemes follow the KS3 Strategy’s sample medium term
plans adjusted to include materials from the Strategy’s interactive
series mini-packs. Also included in this section are level
3-4 and 4-5 booster materials for both students and teachers.
The student materials are power point presentations, many
with sound, explaining key concepts.
The materials are based upon the Strategy’s Y9 booster materials
and the level 3-4 consolidation lessons.
Providing students with copies of these resources has proved
a useful tool for intervention programmes.
