About the Unit
New Language Content
The unit will introduce familiar concepts from the language studied in Y5/6 in new languages.
These concepts are: Greetings; nouns and associated words; cognates; basic sentence structure.
New Contexts
The contexts studied in the language followed in Year 5/6 will be adapted to the cultural background of the languages introduced in this unit.
Familiar Contexts
All contexts used should be familiar to the pupil in the language so far studied, and will be drawn from appropriate parts of the East Riding
Scheme of Work.
