In order to support schools successfully through the process of accreditation a variety of support is available to schools.

Healthy School Support Team
Healthy School Support Team is available within the School Improvement Service:
- the members are:
- Ian Grandidge, National Healthy Schools Standard (NHSS) Co-ordinator
- Denise Chisholm, PSHCE Co-ordinator
- Sue Fellows, Advanced Skills Teacher - Healthy Schools
- Debbie Newton, Advanced Skills Teacher - Citizenship
- a Healthy School consultant will be allocated to every school for personal support and an immediate point of contact
- a specialist theme consultant is also available for each of the 9 themes if a more specialist consultation is needed
- a number of CPD (INSET) courses to support co-ordinators and schools are run on a termly basis. Details of this term’s courses are on the latest CPD (INSET) Courses website (available from the left menu)
- a Healthy School Award support day is run towards the end of each term in order to help co-ordinators in achieving their school targets and to present successful schools with their plaques. Details of this term’s course are on the latest CPD (INSET) Courses website (available from the left menu)
- in-house CPD (INSET) is available by contacting Ian Grandidge or Denise Chisholm at the contact addresses at the foot of the page
Consultants
A number of consultants have been trained and appointed to support schools in accreditation.
All schools that sign up for the award will have a personal consultant to support them through
the entire process of the award.
