East Riding Youth Assembly
Forthcoming MeetingsDown Arrow

We are a newly-formed democratic body for young people in the East Riding of Yorkshire, set up to allow young people chance to discuss what is going on in the council, and anything to do with young people.

Anyone can come along, take part in debates and can raise issues that affect you and get support, and even start a campaign.

Youth Councils feed into the Youth Assembly, which is like a big Youth Council for the whole of the East Riding of Yorkshire.

Then we feed into UK Youth Parliament Yorkshire and Humber, which feeds into the national UK Youth Parliament.

There are loads of opportunities for you to go travel across the country to attend conferences and events specifically for young people involved in the their local community.

You can also go to parliament and watch live debates by real MPs.

This all may sound a bit scary but its all very informal and great fun.

You get to meet loads of new people from all over the county and country all who have great achievements.

You can become involved by contacting your local Youth Council, or come along to a Youth Assembly meeting.

The East Riding Youth Assembly has a message board website to allow discussion of issues online.

Please click the following link to access the East Yorkshire Youth Assembly forum.

Also you are entitled to attend the regular Youth Assembly meetings, the dates of which appear below, or you can contact Richard Moulson at the address at the foot of the page to find out more.
